Selene and Kent's story is one of unexpected timing, second chances, and shared laughter.

Selene is a creative soul who loves arts and crafts, photography, belting out karaoke tunes, indulging in K-dramas, and—of course—good food. Kent, on the other hand, is all about Teslas, fruit plants, surfing, and keeping his dental patients smiling. By day, he works as a dentist, while Selene is a dermatology training registrar at Auckland City Hospital, balancing science with her creative passions.

Their official story began with a blind date, arranged by a mutual friend. But fate had introduced them once before—years earlier, at a university birthday party for another mutual friend. Kent had actually asked Selene out for ice cream back then… but she said no (oops!).

Thankfully, the stars aligned a little better the second time around. That blind date sparked something special—one that neither of them saw coming. From shared hobbies and Sunday markets to karaoke nights and garden chats, Selene and Kent found in each other a mix of comfort, laughter, and love.
